Amber Federizo is a nurse practitioner dual certified in both Hemostasis and Family Practice. She practices full-time at the Hemophilia Treatment Center of Nevada with a sole focus on clotting and bleeding disorders. She is actively involved in several clinical trials and regularly presents on the treatment and management of rare bleeding disorders. She is also interested in the effects of bleeding disorders on sexual health and bullying.
Amber received her undergraduate nursing degree, her Masters in nursing education, and her post Masters as a family nurse practitioner from the University of Nevada-Reno. Amber provides medical services and expertise to rural areas of Nevada. As a native Nevadan, who grew up in the rural areas of the state, she understands how difficult it can be to access even basic medical care for those living several hours away from a metropolitan area. She is among those from the Hemophilia Treatment Center who travel several times a year to provide on-site clinics for those with inherited bleeding disorders in areas which include Winnemucca, the Owyhee Indian community, Ely, and Elko. Clinics in Reno are held more frequently occurring about twice a month.
