– | Reduce the overall frequency of painful bleeds in the patient’s knees and other joints |
– | Allow for a 6 week course of PT three times weekly (on days when he gets his factor) to achieve better muscle strength and improved physical function |
– | Allow the patient to participate in more of his usual activities without experiencing a bleed |
– | Preserve the patient’s quality of life in terms of family and leisure activities which involve walking and using his arms |
– | Possibly slow the progression of joint deterioration by preventing bleeding in joints that still have good function, such as his elbows |
