• The HTC model represents family-centered, comprehensive care delivered by a multidisciplinary team that is dedicated and knowledgeable regarding the management of hemophilia
• The multidisciplinary team is integral to the center, and the ease of coordinating care between providers is enhanced within the HTC model
• Complicated patients often require the intensive management offered by HTC:
  

  –	Severe disease
  –	Inhibitors
  –	HIV infection

• Even patients with mild disease can benefit from the provision of an individualized treatment plan and a focus on preventive medicine
