Specialty Pharmacy’s Integral Role

• After initial instruction from the specialty pharmacy the patient received daily follow-up calls from the pharmacy’s nurse manager to ensure his prophylaxis was going as planned
• The HTC became concerned that his FVIII levels were not being maintained as planned utilizing the outpatient CI method

  –	Coordination of care between the HTC/specialty pharmacy allowed review of the nurse manager’s daily calls/labs

• After a positive report from the specialty pharmacy, the HTC was able to document FVIII activity levels that were within the desired range
