Clinical Presentation

 

• Now independent with self-infusion since knee replacement required intensive infusion therapy
• Called HTC with reports of continued pain and swelling of left knee despite 2 days of infusion therapy
• Seen at HTC for evaluation; FVIII activity <1% despite baseline level of 3% and recent infusions
• Further evaluation revealed the patient has a 10 BU inhibitor
• Patient admitted for further treatment with a bypassing product to control and stabilize bleeding
