Patient presented to the ER with a head trauma following a MVA
Patient was infused, head CT negative but was admitted overnight for observation
Fortunately for the patient, there was an HTC at the institution and a hematology consult was obtained
Further evaluation revealed the patient had accumulated noteworthy joint damage in the knees and ankles
Dental health was also poor upon examination, and, when queried, the patient described extensive oral bleeding and the presence of a “liver clot” lesion in his mouth that had not healed properly
Patient was discharged the following day with a follow-up appointment at the HTC
