Dr. Ruble is an Associate Professor (Clinical) in the Department of Pharmacotherapy. He teaches pharmaceutical compounding, pharmacy law, and health care ethics. Dr. Ruble chairs the Ethics Committee at the University of Utah Health Care System. He has experience in many areas of health care and pharmacy practice, including neuroscience, pediatrics, drug information, IV admixture/sterile compounding, chronic disease management/hemophilia, ambulatory care, home infusion/hospice, adult acute care and critical care medicine, poison control, and hospital distribution pharmacy. Dr. Ruble managed a home infusion pharmacy and hemophilia case management program for the University of Utah.
Dr. Ruble is a registered pharmacist in Utah, and admitted to the Utah Bar and the United States Patent and Trademark Office Bar. Dr. Ruble is recognized for teaching excellence, including College of Pharmacy Distinguished Teaching Awards, Daniels Fund-David Eccles School of Business Award for Leadership in Ethics Education, and the Hinckley Institute Outstanding Professor Award.
